Patrick joined INNOVA in early 2004 when INNOVA management identified a very real need for an entrepreneurial education component. Patrick, who came to the WVHTC Foundation in 2002 with a vast communications background in the public relations and media arenas, serves as INNOVA's statewide administrator for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation of Kansas City's FastTrac^® programs. INNOVA is the administering body for these FastTrac^® programs in West Virginia.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Patrick was honored by Empire's Who's Who international executives and professionals registry in 2003. He is a participating member of the State Science and Technology Institute, a national technology-based economic development organization based in Westerville, Ohio. In 2006, Patrick was named vice chairman of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Technology Committee.
